Only by not counting nearly 100 million adults can the BLS claim that the official unemployment rate is 5 percent. When that "not in labor force" number is factored into the unemployment rate formula (unemployed + not in labor force / labor force) you get an unemployment rate of 65 percent and no evidence of a "recovery"...
